What to Wear to Your Wedding Celebrations?
Story by Kristen Erb:
Staring at your clothes and trying to determine what to wear to that special event can be a daunting task. But we’re here to help figure out the perfect outfit to wear to your event and we’ve got it covered for you down to the scent! When attending your various functions, wear clothes that are tailored to the environment in which the event will be held. There are no rules that say you must wear white just because you’re the bride—creams, other soft colors (think pink and lavender) and even a sophisticated navy will work just as well. Appropriate lightweight fabrics to wear for the summer and spring include tulle, organza, cotton, lace and silk. Lace and organza are some of our favorites for a feminine yet casual look. Sundresses and wedges would be ideal for a day time event, like a luncheon. For the engagement party, opt for a cocktail dress to set a more formal tone. Remember, if you are the bride, you should be more dressed up and polished! Bridal Showers are more relaxed and we would suggest a skirt or casual floral dress. Remember to bring a cardigan or overlay in case the venue is chilly – and don’t forget to bring make up for touch ups between pictures! We have provided a short list of designers and stores in which you can find the perfect outfit for your luncheon, engagement party, or bridal shower. Remember you can always add a fun accessory to any existing outfit in your closet to change the look and make it look more current.
The clothes in the below stores are perfect for any stylized event leading up to your big day!
