September Signature Drink – White Wine Sangria

Labor Day weekend is all about sitting outside, grilling out and savoring the final days of summer.  What better way to do so than with some white wine sangria in hand?  It’s delicious and easy, and it’s great because you can easily substitute in your favorite seasonal fruits!

Sangria is also great for a signature drink because you can easily adapt the recipe to make in large batches, and the pitchers full of the sliced fruits are gorgeous and colorful and make for some great decorations!

Here is a recipe I found from the Food Network.

  • 3 bottles pinot grigio
  • 1 1/2 cups brandy
  • 3/4 cup orange liqueur (peach schnappes would work too)
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 orange, thinly sliced
  • 1 blood orange, thinly sliced
  • 3 peaches, sliced
  • 1 lime, thinly sliced

Directions: In a large pitcher, combine the wine, brandy, and orange liquer. Pour in the sugar, stir or shake the pitcher thoroughly to mix. Add all citrus slices at once. Allow the mixture to sit for 1 hour before serving to allow the citrus flavor to come through.

Love these colors!

yes, please.

Cheers, friends!
