International Cake Show in Charlotte, NC: Crazy Cool Cakes

I have a huge sweet tooth so it isn’t surprising that the cake is one of my most favorite things about a wedding (or any event for that matter!).  This weekend, I had the opportunity to attend the International Cake Show in Charlotte, NC.  I am always amazed by the creativity and talent of bakers!  I’m going to do this blog in multiple installments because there were so many creations I wanted to share!

This is a car made of cake, unbelievable!  All of the decorative North Carolina themed items in the back are also make of cake.  WOW!

This totally cracked me up. The “cake” was probably a total of 5 ft high and was made up of all sorts of yummy food: a taco, spaghetti and meatballs, a cheeseburger and even a fortune cookie! Would be such a fun idea to do a mini version of this for a birthday party or even a grooms cake!

The next few cakes would also be fun groom’s cakes for the fisherman!

And who doesn’t love a raccoon cake!?

I had to save this for the grand finale, a Charlotte Skyline cake surrounded by the Nascar track and mini car cakes (and yes, they were moving!).
