Tonia and Scott’s Top of the Hill Wedding

Many of the brides I work with live out of state and I only get to meet with them once or twice before the wedding, even if we’ve worked together for a year or more!  This was the case with Tonia and Scott.  They live in California, hired me over the phone and we met only one time before the big day!  Tonia grew up in North Carolina, but Scott hadn’t spent to much time in the Tarheel State.  Most of their friends were traveling from California, so they really wanted to give them the Southern wedding experience, hence the theme for this wedding: Southern Chic.  Mason jars adorned the aisle and tables, chalk boards acted as table numbers and the grooms favorite flower, the sunflower, was used to accent the soft blue color scheme.   The welcome bags were packed with peanuts from Southern Seasons and Krispy Kreme donuts (what better way to be welcomed to NC!?).  For the ceremony and cocktail hour music, we had Big Fat Gap, a local Chapel Hill bluegrass favorite!
