Emily and Joe’s Elodie Farms Wedding
Emily and Joe were married on April 21 at Elodie Farms in Rougemont, NC. Elodie Farms is a working goat farm owned by Dave Artigues and if you haven’t had the opportunity to experience his goat cheese you are seriously missing out!
I was hired to plan Emily and Joe’s wedding over a year ago. I loved every second of working with them and am going to miss them dearly. They are two of the most laid back and good natured people I know! The first day we met they gave me a list of adjectives to describe their fantasy wedding including; french country, laid back, eco friendly, etc. To achieve this look we created an open air lounge area which included an antique pine hutch as a back drop to the bar, couches with whisky barrel side tables and strands of market lights to define the unique lounge space. Dinner service was served family style on a host of mix-matched platters. All of the menu choices were farm fresh, local and seasonal foods. The table chart was created from repurposed window panes and the centerpieces were displayed in repurposed / repainted wooden crates. Table numbers were hand painted on burlap fabric and of course, what farm inspired wedding would be complete without mason jars! Dinner service was held under a clear top tent strung with market lights to mimic the lounge environment. It was the perfect spring night and the ambiance was magical!
Emily and Joe,
I wish you all the best in your future together and can’t thank you enough for letting me be part of your wedding experience!
xo,
Katie
