Featured in WEDDINGS Mag! Diana + Corley | Duke Chapel & Washington Duke Wedding

So happy to say Diana & Corley’s wedding was published on WEDDINGS Magazine, it was SUCH a fun one!! As Duke graduates, their big day was a reunion of all their best friends back to celebrate their relationship right where it began, so naturally, they wanted to pull out all the stops to make sure every guest felt right at home! With personal touches around every corner, a ceremony venue that will take your breath away at the stroke of the organ, and some seriously good entertainment – it’s safe to say they gave their loved ones an unforgettable experience.

Diana and Corley live in Atlanta so we scheduled meetings such as engagement sessions, tastings, and design meetings strategically, but had a blast planning everything else from afar! Perhaps one of my favorite parts was creating a unique layout that lent it self to showcasing the beautiful floral details we dreamed up! Diana’s taste was classic and elegant, but she wanted to incorporate some fun twists that added even more personality to this special day, like all white bridesmaids dresses (which were so fab) with pops of color in their bouquets, incorporating their nicknames into their guests welcome bags, and honeycomb dripping from their cake!

This wedding hit the mark on all five senses: the WaDuke’s delicious southern stations that encouraged guests to mingle, to the texture in the linens, the sound of the band, the glow of the lighting, and the smell of eucalyptus that filled the room – it was all so dreamy! Speaking of dreamy, Diana and Corley’s greenery dreams come true on that August day!! Diana decided a few weeks before the wedding that she wanted to add a touch of something special to surprise her soon-to-be husband and the perfect way was in the plants. With a degree in biology, Corley loves plants, so what a better way to nod to him than to dec the chandeliers out in greenery and flowers?? This was something they had never dome at the Washington Duke before, so it was so fun to come up with and see brought to life!

While the design was absolutely stunning, my most favorite moment at Diana and Corley’s wedding was most definitely seeing her grandfather, be the life of the party at over 90 years young! He busted it out on the dance floor, sang a song to his grand daughter, and made the whole room smile form ear to ear. Memories they will cherish forever, and I certainly will never forget – he is the BEST!

All this to say, that wedding planning at it’s core is a process of getting to know your clients and their families and friends, and because of that, each wedding is it’s own unique and special event. There is nothing better than getting to do that over and over again!!  I hope you love scrolling through their photos as much as I did!
