July Signature Drink of the Month – Pink Grapefruit Mojito

It just sounds refreshing, doesn’t it? I was browsing The Knot‘s website and came across this – the “Ultimate Signature Cocktail Finder“.  What a great tool!  You can search by season or color to find the perfect cocktail for your your event.  I came across this unique twist on the traditional mojito and couldn’t resist.  If you love grapefruit like I do, than this is a great choice for a distinctive and refreshing summer cocktail.

The recipe:

Handful of mint leaves
1/2 oz. fresh lime juice
1/2 oz. simple syrup*
1 oz. light rum
1/2 oz. fresh pink grapefruit juice
1/2 oz. grapefruit liqueur
Sparkling water

Directions:

Muddle mint in lime juice and simple syrup.
Add ice and remaining ingredients except sparkling water and shake briefly.
Pour into a highball glass.
Top with sparkling water.

The finished product? So pretty!
